Hi Marghanita, I'd be happy to do just the initial bit. Though I think people will get a better feeling for the full functionality of online video with the demos. But I'm sure I can find a way to do 20min with the initial bit and some select demos, which sounds most appropriate given the current way in which SLUG talks are run. There is not much to do on a server - you upload the video and Apache or any other server supports it, as long as the mime types file is adapted properly. I can mention this in the talk, too. The problem about "thrashing" the server is simply the problem that loads of bandwith is used by videos when lots of people are watching the videos. The server was responsive all the time and had a very low load, but was just serving lots of data - as is expected with video. This is why we need the NBN. ;-) Cheers, Silvia.
