Hello Samuel, You've lost me. What is Disqus? As I understand it, Tim has two cameras and has them on the slides and the speaker - which appears to work extremely well for the presentations. The main problem, with input from the audience in the room is the sound. Panning the camera to see the audience provided an interesting, change, but would probably be too distracting for anyone tuning in for the talks. The speaker can't seen the IRC channel, so it is really upto the MC or someone in the audience to relay any comments coming in via IRC. I, as the MC at the last meeting, found it difficult to read the IRC channel. However, there were people in the audience, in the room, monitoring it. Checking out the video Tim recorded and uploaded single handedly, as well as giving a talk and making an announcement - I am impressed. I don't think it needs any post production. However, given the video is published with > Creative Commons Attribution license (reuse allowed) post production by others is allowed. Has anyone checked out Dimdim? > > > Dimdim is an open source web meeting product with features like Application, Desktop and Presentation sharing with A/V streaming and chat. No attendee installation - all features are available through a web browser. Dimdim can be integrated with Moodle. <http://sourceforge.net/projects/dimdim/> Marghanita Samuel Marks wrote: > Setup dual live feeds (audience + speaker), allow the user to choose > between which is at forefront (or have them side-by-side) > > Include a Disqus (or similar) commenting system below, or (temporary > fix) embed an IRC client. > > Profit > > :P > > I can help setup this site if you want > > 2011/6/25 Marghanita da Cruz <[email protected] > <mailto:[email protected]>> > > Tim Ansell wrote: > > Hello everyone, > > Well the video form tonight's SLUG is up on YouTube for all to > enjoy!
