You might be thinking of HP OpenMail, which subsequently became Scalix.
It had promise and did a number of releases but then floundered for a
number of years with no updates or response to queries for customers by
Scalix.

Looks like they've recently started responding, but I certainly don't
trust them after how they treated their customers.
