Hi William,

This is just a side note which does not answer your question directly,
but if you do not have to stick with latex, I have recently stumbled
upon cool project https://www.gitbook.io/ which allows you to create
an ebook using markdown syntax and export it in multiple formats. If
needed, you can also link it to your git repository for collaboration
and version control purposes. No github or gitbook account needed to
get started. Here is how you install gitbook editor on your linux
systems:
