I am using <http://rimuhosting.com> (thanks to Chris Merrill for the
recommendation) to host a mailserver which runs as a servlet inside
Tomcat, with PostgreSQL as the database. $20/month. Quite reliable.
Fast enough for my purposes. Customer service is excellent, though I
have not needed it since the week when I set up initially.

Occasionally their machine crashes, or they restart it, I'm not sure
which. This happens maybe three times each year. Then I have to
manually restart a service which I haven't got wired up to restart
itself. But basically it seems very stable. "uptime" today says 51 days.
