Groovy (http://groovy.codehaus.org/) just released 1.0 final. Also just released is the first developer's handbook : Groovy in Action by Dierk Koenig (http://www.manning.com/koenig/) I'm quite interested in Groovy and would love to see some Groovy related TriJug meeting topics. Lee, Harold : Are there any such topics already planned? Do we have enough interest in the group to warrant arranging a topic? (shout out if you want it) I hope I'm not going about this the wrong way, I just wanted to bring up the topic and feel out the group for interest. Do we have any Groovy committers in our midst? Some topics I think would be useful: Groovy's place in the Java developer's toolbox : best practices Builders and GPath : best practices and relationship to what is available in other languages. Groovy and Unit Testing and Mock Objects: best practices Groovy in relationship to other scripting/dynamic languages in general and in particular its relationship to those on the JVM. e.g. Groovy and Ruby and JRuby, Groovy and Python and Jython. Groovy on Grails: current state, future, best practices, and relationship to Ruby on Rails -- A. Kevin Baynes Life's a garden. Dig it!
