Another Maven nugget

   I missed replying to the earlier thread but one other nugget from the
meeting was the ability to build from packges stored on the Maven source
repos. Why is this important?  If you believe in the "Internet is the
computer" then the ability to link source/binaries across servers becomes
important. It's not quite webservices but it is remote access to binary
code. Suddenly CLASSPATH becomes much larger. Some people are working on a
corollary of this with dynamic object linking via the Linux UnionFS with the
first layer being local or cdrom and the second being nfs or sshfs or what
have you. So, one foundational technology of Maven is the ability to
auto-link with source others are maintaining. That's a new concept IME.
