Abstract:
Apache Camel (http://activemq.apache.org/ camel/
<http://activemq.apache.org/camel/>) is a powerful Spring based
Integration Framework.

Camel implements the Enterprise Integration Patterns, allowing you to
configure routing and mediation rules in either a Java based Domain
Specific Language (or Fluent API) or via Spring based Xml configuration
files. Camel has an extensible component based architecture and comes
out of the box with support for many messaging transports (http, smtp,
ftp, xmpp, ...), models (JMS, MINA, CXF, JBI), data formats and
programming languages (groovy, ruby, python, etc).

This talk will be a brief introduction to integration patterns followed
by hands-on example of service integration. In the remaining time I will
touch on how and why Camel simplifies integration, its architecture and
other projects you would likely use it with.

No special knowledge is required other than decent understanding of Java
and interest in service integration.

About the Speaker:
Hadrian Zbarcea is a Committer at Apache Software Foundation.
