Local Triangle Java Classes?

I was thinking about picking up a Java class at Wake tech to give my
resume a little nudge in my current "between jobs" time, and a friend
suggested I ask you folks if there's a better/smarter class option
than taking it at the community college.  I know C++ (and I don't know
if that makes it better or worse), and am looking for some directed
instruction (and not a self-paced online kinda thing).  Any helpful
ideas?  Thanks in advance.
