Re: phone programming WORA?

One of my clients found this: http://www.rhomobile.com/It's on my list to
check out, but I just haven't gotten to it yet.

I'm skeptical, though. I guess for simple apps, there might be some
advantages. But if you're really trying to exploit a platform, it probably
does an equally poor job on each. At this point, I'm not sure I'd cut away
from Objective-C/CocoaTouch on the iPhone. I don't think it's too foreign an
environment for an experienced Java hacker.

Another thing to think about... Now that Apple says they'll eject apps from
the app store that aren't 3.0 compatible; would you really want to depend on
a compatibility layer to handle that for you? Again, I don't know the level
of integration they've got, just thinking out loud.
