Triangle Java User's Group presents: Web Development with Jython by Frank Wierzbicki Monday September 21, 2009 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM Meeting at Nortel Networks 4001 E. Chapel Hill-Nelson Highway Research Triangle Park, North Carolina (Google doesn't understand this address: see direction details below) Presentation summary: A final release of Jython 2.5 came out earlier this year. Jython is an implementation of the dynamic object oriented language Python for the JVM. The Jython project has been collaborating with a number of Python web framework projects to make sure that they work well on the Jython platform. Django and Pylons are two popular Python web frameworks that are working well on Jython. In this talk, I will demonstrate how to use these frameworks to deploy Python based applications to Java web servers. About the Speaker: Frank Wierzbicki is the lead of the Jython project. He has presented at PyCon, JavaOne and EuroPython. He is employed by Sun Microsystems where he works on Jython full-time.
