Triangle Java Users Group presents: Java and 21st Century Finance Paul Renaud and staff, Deutsche Bank January 18, 2010 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM Meeting at Nortel Networks building "NC0", not "Yellow Wall/Gateway". Presentation summary: How can Java be used to overcome the challenges of high-speed modern banking? Learn how Java is being applied by Deutsche Bank on up-and-coming projects at their new development center in Cary. J2EE caching systems using JDBC and Hibernate will be discussed in some detail. As usual, this will be an open session where attendees will be invited to offer their insights and experiences as well. About the Speakers After contracting with them for 5 years, Paul Renaud recently joined Deutsche Bank full-time to help establish the DB Global Technology (DBGT) North America development center in Cary. He has worked with Java for approximately 10 years. He has 7 years experience in the Financial Services industry (in Canada) and 3 years in the Re-insurance industry (in Bermuda). Paul may be joined by one or more DB technical staff members. At the top of the ramp turn left (south) on Davis Drive. Proceed to the light at Davis and 54 (approx 1/4 mile). Proceed *straight* through this light and then turn left into Nortel entrance (approx another 1/3 mile). The main parking lot is then the 2nd left and goes up hill. Proceed to the side of the lot near the central walkway into the bldg (see satellite picture in concise directions above). Take walk way up hill into bldg. Check your name off the guard's list or add your name to the bottom. The meeting room is upstairs directly above the guard station. *From Durham:* Proceed East on I40 to Davis Drive (Exit 280) Take exit for Davis Drive. If you reach Hwy 54 you have gone too far. After the right into the Nortel entrance the main parking lot is then the 2nd left and goes up hill.
