I was approached a couple of days ago by a local recruiter whose firm is looking to place java developers with a local company that has a need for Struts. She asked if I knew anyone who might be interested in earning some extra money by helping her company pre-screen candidates for general level of Java and for Struts 1 and 2 in particular. I could have given her a few names of people who have the requisite expert level of skills but I wouldn't know which of them had the time or needed the extra cash. So I helped her post her inquiry on the TriJUG jobs board ( at http://trijug.org/JUGJobs/displayJob.do?job_number=3065 ) and suggested that, since the person she was looking for might already be employed -- and thus not a regular visitor to the jobs board -- that I would mention the opportunity on the mailing list as well. So, if you have already spent that advance on the Struts book you are writing and your kid needs braces and a bif of extra cash might be helpful you might check it out.
