Folks, It's that time of year again and nominations are open for the 2011 TriJUG board of directors. Self-nomination is welcome and the nomination period will continue until shortly before the election at the beginning of the November 15 meeting. Please consider joining the board to help out. It typically translates to just a few hours of effort a month and "new blood" is always very helpful with respect to avoiding ruts. Your involvement can easily translate directly into improvements (or at least change). Also, the board is open to a reorg every year. That is, the "who does what" details come after the new board is formed and before the start of the new calendar year. Jeanne Heisel has graciously taken over the book raffle and I'm sure she is open to suggestions for high quality, cutting edge books as well as "classics" to add to the raffle pool. Jeanne can be reached at her first name at acm.org. Also, if you or someone you know is interested in providing a technical presentation at a future TriJUG meeting please send email to [email protected] or contact Lee Haslup or myself at a meeting. Thanks, Pete Soper (TriJUG secretary)
