Re: Technical writer needed (with an accent on technical)

Hi Hadrian,

I am a technical writer by trade (over 18 years experience) but have a very strong interest in development and have created two development manuals in the past. While I am not well versed in Java, I know my way around a little. I have previously taken some online courses in PHP, MySQL and JavaScript, so I am familiar with looking at code and doing some decifering as well as some minor coding. I have also dabbled in Perl due to necessity at work (I had to edit and add to a developer's code to update a form). I have a few books on Java as well, however I have not worked with them yet and don't know much about the language. Keeping all this in mind, do you believe I might be a good fit for the position you have posted? I am currently working full-time at a company in North Raleigh and am seeking part-time work that I can do at home at night and on weekends, however I am open to discussing a move, if the position is right for me.
