Thanks for the feedback.  I don't set the prices, but can pass along your feedback to those who do.  From what I have seen, it is inline with similar events.  You can get more information on the content of the class at http://www.lucidimagination.com/enterprise-search-solutions/search-support-training.  I've given the class a number of times and I can say the goal is to get you up and running with Solr (from zero search experience) and it's many features and functionalities as well as address the operational side of it (scaling, relevance tuning, troubleshooting, etc.)  The class has a fair amount of examples so as to balance between lecture and hands-on work.
