Presentation summary:
Join us for a narrative of web component development and testing using
Java EE6. We'll explore what JSR-299 (Contexts and Dependency
Injection for Java, aka CDI) brings to the table and how it integrates
with other parts of the platform. Then we'll look at how EE6
components can be tested effectively with Arquillian, a new
container-agnostic test framework by JBoss
About the Speaker:
Chris Bredesen has more than 20 years of experience in the IT field
with 10 of those year devoted to enterprise Java development and system
architecture. His career at Red Hat began as a Senior Software
Maintenance Engineer focusing on Hibernate, EJB3 and Transactions in
JBoss Enterprise Application Platform. He currently serves as Product
Manager for the Red Hat Customer Portal to which he contributed as
lead engineer for 18 months.

Admission:
Paid-up members of TriJUG may attend without additional charge.
Non-members are asked to pay $5 per meeting. However, if you are
either a full time student or unemployed, then we ask only $2 per
meeting. Membership for 12 months is $40 and $15 respectively.

From the Raleigh Beltline:
Take the Western Blvd exit east toward downtown Raleigh. After
crossing Gorman Street turn right onto Varsity Drive. After crossing
Avent Ferry Road and Main Campus Drive, Red Hat's main entrance is on
the left. Parking is just beyond the entrance: a left into the parking
deck. Come back out of the deck, follow the sidewalk to the right and
back to the main entrance. The meeting room is to the left after
entering the main lobby.
