Hi TriJUG, Thanks, everyone for the feedback and interest. We have settled on a date, location and a name for the event. The Scaling Hackathon is now called Scale-A-Thon. The event is an all day hackathon aimed at working with tools like Hadoop, Cassandra, Thrift, Mahout, MongoDB, etc. Basically, the tools that are powering the Big Data scalability movement. The inaugural event will be held on June 18, 2011 at Bronto Software in Durham (same location as TriHUG - Triangle Hadoop Users Group). This first time, we are going to limit entry to the first 35 people, so if you want to come, register now.
