klog. Developers pull work from that backlog, =0Aalways confident that they=
're working on the highest-priority feature at=0A the moment, and never hav=
ing to worry about how those priorities are =0Aallocated. This system is si=
mple, efficient, and has helped many teams =0Afunction better than they use=
d to. It's also time for the system to die. =0AA few revolutionary companie=
s are experimenting with the idea that =0Adevelopers should be in charge no=
t only of when they build new features, but what features to build. Rather =
than mere code technicians following the will of a product and marketplace =
expert, developers themselves =0Abecome experts in their product domain, bu=

. Dispensing with the product owner creates an entirely new organizational =
tenor: one in which everyone is =0Aencouraged to master the business's doma=
in, to organize their work in =0Aautonomous ways, and to take ownership of =

 ClojureScript =0AClojureScript is a dialect of Clojure that compiles to Ja=
vaScript, and =0Atargets the JavaScript runtimes of the web as a deployment=
 environment. =0AIt offers the unparalleled expressiveness of Lisp, the per=
formance and =0Aspace efficiency of the Google Closure Compiler, interopera=
bility with =0Athe in-browser object model, and natural integration with se=
rver-side =0AClojure applications. In a time of proliferating JavaScript ex=
tensions =0Aand client-side development frameworks, this is a compelling vi=
sion of =0Ahow client-side web development should be done. =0AIt's also a g=
reat language in which to write an agent model. In this =0Atalk, we'll diss=
ect an entirely client-side simulation of a pen full of =0Acows inside an e=
lectric fence. Each cow moves around randomly, and is =0Asensitive to the s=
tress level of the cows around it. When a cow wanders =0Ainto the electric =
fence, we can explore simulation parameters that =0Adetermine how stress mo=
ves through the herd. We'll learn how to write =0AClojureScript, and draw f=
