Senior Tech Lead for Treasury IT AD

Client is seeking a Senior Tech Lead to join our team in
Somerset/Raleigh teams. Our teams are building and enhancing software
in support of Client s Treasury business in US and Global. The
position is a right to hire that will be located in Raleigh. We are
willing to start the person in Somerset with the up-front agreement
that they are willing to move to Raleigh if offered a permanent
position.
The Senior Tech Lead oversees the software development activities for
one or more projects and is responsible for the successful completion
of all technical deliverables including detailed technical design,
software development and the unit testing process. The Senior Tech
Lead is also responsible for ensuring quality standards are met by
both onshore and offshore teams as well as mentoring junior software
development engineers.
Summary of Responsibilities
Primary point of contact for all technical deliverables
Ensure development activities are aligned with scope, schedule,
priority and business objectives
Review functional specifications, create detailed technical design and
technical specifications, and oversee code development and unit and
performance testing activities
Meet or exceed all operational readiness requirements (e.g.,
operations engineering, performance, and risk management)
Conduct POC s and explore feasibility of new technologies & processes
Collaborate with other groups to achieve project goals (BA, QA,
Infrastructure & Operations)
Prepares necessary code documentation, change tickets and deployment
documentation
Ensure all tasks and milestones associated with technical design,
development and unit testing are completed according to project
management guidelines
Mentoring more junior staff and reviewing work products from team and
vendor consultants.

Required experience
8+ years related work experience
7+ years development experience in Java/J2EE, Oracle 11G
5+ years with SQL on relational DB s such as MS SQL Server, Oracle,
Sybase and IBM UDB
5+ years of experience with ORM tools (Hibernate), Spring (Integration, Batch)
4+ years of experience working on high volume transactional systems
(experience with scalability and performance optimization).
3+ years of experience with development of Webservices (SOAP/REST) &
Webservices clients
3+ years of experience using build, deploy, scheduling and testing tools
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering
or related, or 10 years equivalent work experience

Preferred Experience
Insurance or Financial industry experience with Credit Card & ACH
payment processing technologies
Ability to work with business users independently
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical skills; Problem solver; Detail oriented
Ability to excel in a high pressured, deadline oriented environment
Strong team/client orientation
Experience with creating flowcharts, class diagrams, sequence
diagrams, deployment diagrams and other software architecture
documentation
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access-intermediate to
advanced skill level.

recommends new Internet tools and applications for use in assigned
responsibilities. This job at the senior level has experience in a
variety of the more difficult Web tools and languages. Bachelor's
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related
field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 5+ years of IT
work experience in software development, installation and modification
in an online environment.
