Dear WAI Interest Group Participants,=0A=
=0A=
WAI is pleased to announce the publication of Authoring Tool=0A=
Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG) 2.0 as a W3C Recommendation at:=0A=
http://www.w3.org/TR/ATAG20/=0A=
=0A=
ATAG 2.0 has a companion document, Implementing ATAG 2.0, published as a=0A=
W3C Working Group Note:=0A=
http://www.w3.org/TR/IMPLEMENTING-ATAG20/=0A=
=0A=
ATAG 2.0 helps improve web accessibility by providing guidelines for=0A=
designing web content authoring tools that are both more accessible to=0A=
authors with disabilities (Part A) and designed to enable, support, and=0A=
promote the production of more accessible web content by all authors=0A=
(Part B). ATAG 2.0 helps authors meet WCAG 2.0. Selecting authoring=0A=
tools that conform to ATAG 2.0 can facilitate the process of creating=0A=
accessible Web content, and can also remove barriers to content creation=0A=
by people with disabilities. ATAG 2.0 is complete, ready for use and is=0A=
already being implemented by native and web-based authoring tools=0A=
including: social media tools, content management systems, learning=0A=
management systems, WYSIWYG editors, and HTML editors. Please see=0A=
additional information in:=0A=
