I've started developing an annotea compatibel server in java. The 
current alpha version has been tested with annozilla 
(annozilla.mozdev.org), it currently supports only adding and 
retrieving annotations.

I would appreciate you to download the server from 
http://www.wymiwyg.org/downloads/ , test it and send me some feedback.
