Hi Yucca, Thanks for replying... Sorry about the W3Wchools thing - I didn't realise they were a separate organisation (shame on them)! I did change something on the page shortly after contacting you about this issue: The line <meta charset="UTF-8"> was just before the </head> tag. I since discovered that it needs to be in the first 1024 bytes of the file in order to validate correctly, so I moved it up to the top and the validation was successful. Sorry I couldn't pre-warn you (save you wasting your time)... I was waiting for an opportunity! Thanks for your kind attention and swift response.
