The sole reason the checker is flagging an hr with aria-label as a warning
is that the guides I cited in my previous message don=E2=80=99t recommend u=
sing
aria-label with hr. If those guides were to change that recommendation,
then I would change the checker behavior.

But note that the message is a warning, not an error. So it=E2=80=99s not s=
aying
that using aria-label with hr is non-conforming to the specs and that you
must not use it. Instead it=E2=80=99s effectively saying that you should no=
t use it
unless you=E2=80=99re aware of the user effects.

describes the options available for doing that.
