Hello everyone,
The Wikimedia Bangladesh Annual Activity Report 2025 is now available and
officially published.
In 2025, Wikimedia Bangladesh implemented a broad range of programmes
focused on content creation, community development, capacity building, and
institutional collaboration nationwide. Through contests, edit-a-thons,
workshops, meetups, photowalks, and training initiatives, we actively
supported contributors across Bangla Wikipedia and other Wikimedia
projects. These collective efforts resulted in the *creation and
improvement of over 12,000 pages*, the *upload of more than 70,000
photographs and media files *to Wikimedia Commons, and *direct engagement
with over 3,000 participants* through online and offline activities
nationwide.
The report outlines our major programs and milestones, presenting a clear
overview of our impact, growth, lessons learned, and continued commitment
to advancing open knowledge in Bangladesh.
We are encouraged by the progress we have made in strengthening our
community, improving content quality, and expanding participation across
diverse regions and communities.
