Re: WMF hiring in the US and globally

Note that the Wikimedia Foundation People (HR) department is well aware
that the recent cut-down in hiring countries was an unpopular change
internally, and presumably are aware that the way it was handled has been a
significant driver of unionization interest among both US and non-US staff.

I look forward to continuing to work with the People department internally
on this matter and continue to hope for a solution that restores our
ability to hire out of the talent pool of experienced Wikimedia community
members and others in the countries that have been removed.
