Thank you for the detailed feedback, and for the support during the
hackathon. Our team took several of these up at the Indic MediaWiki
Hackathon

Going point by point:

1. Metadata fetching: Noted. The tool reads creation dates where the file
carries them, but some containers store none, so the field can come up
blank. Better multi-source date extraction is on my list.

2. Licence not shown / speedy-deletion warning: Fixed. The selected licence
now always renders as a recognised template on the file page, so uploads no
longer land in a deletable state. If you spot it on any file, send me the
filename and I'll check that page.

3. Multilingual descriptions: Done and live. The description field now
takes descriptions in multiple languages, picked from a list that leads
with Indic languages, and writes them as a stacked multilingual
{{Information}} description. Instead of integrating Content Translation as
a separate tool, I wired the editor to MinT, the same translation engine it
runs on, so a "suggest" button gives you an editable machine translation
you review before uploading. I tested the full flow with an upload and it
works.

4. Custom thumbnail: Setting a video's default thumbnail on the file page
still isn't supported by MediaWiki itself (T22647
<https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T22647>, open since 2009), as Jan also
noted.
