I am also wondering if we should/could follow 4A of GFDL ver 1.2.

When modification is made, title in Title Page should be changed so that it 
is distinct from all the previous ones.

Some of you might think that Wikipedia does not have a Title Page, and 
therefore not subject to this particular requirements. But the Title Page is 
defined partly as follows:

"For works in formats which do not have any title page as such, "Title Page" 
means the text near the most prominent appearance of the work's title, 
preceding the beginning of the body of the text." (Section 1)

Attaching a version number would do at least a better compliance than none.
