Either fuck the GNU FDL (yes, I dislike it) or only a short note at the 
beginning like "This is ARTICLE from Wikipedia a free encyclopaedia. You 
may copy and modify this freely under the terms of the GNU GPL."

I have mentioned the same idea on wikide-l in July 03, depressing 
response but I never lost that idea and bought a mic last week to make a 
start. I had written some (german) text on my own wiki just before I've 
stumbled of your mail, see here for a translation of my concept. It's 
nowhere near final, especially the business plan I have in mind.
