Whoa! Wait a minute. I thought that it was trademarks, not copyrights, that 
are lost if they are not aggressively protected. Since when has waiting a few 
weeks for copyright compliance before sending in the DMCA dogs constituted 
giving away copyright to the public domain? I thought copyright was copyright 
was copyright until a certain number of decades years after publication or 
the death of the author (depending on what copyright treaty/laws your nation 
follows and whether or not the author is anonymous)...
