While we're on the whole issue of enforcing our copyright, I'd like to know if there is some sort of official procedure for going after non-compliant copyright infringers. http://basicmusic.net uses wikipedia content in violation of the GFDL and even has the following blurb on its homepage (but not the article pages): Copyright © 2001 Steven J. Hayes. All rights reserved. Send all suggestions, comments, and questions to webmaster-NbonChMXui44d9/[email protected] This Site Hosted By: HostRocket.Com I have sent the standard letter to webmaster-NbonChMXui44d9/[email protected] twice: Once on October 26th and again on November 5th. Have not had any reply. See http://en2.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sites_that_use_Wikipedia_for_content for more information. IMHO this warrants a C&D letter to HostRocket.Com, but obviously only the owner of the copyright or someone authorised by said person can do so. Also there should be word from the top of the correct procedure. Best, Sascha Noyes -- Please encrypt all email. Public key available from www.pantropy.net/snoyes.asc
