My understanding is that 'suppress' serve the same purpose as wikitext
suppression (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:RevisionDelete /
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Suppression ).

Essentially, it's an extra-powerful version of deletion granted to the
'oversight' group.
