The Fink project with its main developers and many contributors is  
proud to announce the availability of Fink 0.5.1
With over 2100 packages in the unstable tree and more than 700 binary  
packages available Fink is once more happy to present to you the vast  
variety of programs and tools the open source community has to offer.

The binary distribution name Fink 0.5.1 not meant for existing Fink  
users, those who are already using Fink may easily upgrade to the  
latest stable version of Fink. How to easily upgrade your existing  
installation of Fink is explained at this address:

Users which are not familiar with Fink yet or installing Fink on a new  
system may find the binary distribution including an intuitive  
installer at the following address:
