There’s no upgrade path, so you’ll have to install a new Fink tree from source—the development version of fink has been modified to use /opt/sw as the default install directory, because Catalina allows that. OK- will be more careful next time. Nor did I mean to update to Catalina: after a complete iMac breakdown, I got into brand new installation procedures and ended up with macOS X 10.15. Great many thanks for the recipes.
