I also attempted to install emacs via option (3) emacs25-25.3-2. This also failed, but with a different final gasp. > > 1 warning generated. > mv -f .deps/cols.Tpo .deps/cols.Po > /bin/sh ../libtool --tag=CC --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -L/opt/sw/lib -o columns cols.o ../autoopts/libopts.la -L/opt/sw/lib -lguile-2.0 -lgc -lm -lintl -ldl -L/opt/sw/lib > libtool: link: gcc -g -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -o .libs/columns cols.o -L/opt/sw/lib ../autoopts/.libs/libopts.dylib /opt/sw/lib/libguile-2.0.dylib /opt/sw/lib/libgc.dylib -lm /opt/sw/lib/libintl.dylib -ldl > top_builddir=.. \ > /opt/sw/src/fink.build/autogen-5.18.14-1/autogen-5.18.14/build/agen5/autogen -L../../autoopts/tpl -L../autoopts/tpl -MFstamp-agtexi -Tagtexi-cmd.tpl -DLEVEL=section --timeout=`expr 2236 '*' 3` ../../columns/opts.def > AutoGen aborting on signal 11 (Segmentation fault: 11) in state OPTIONS > make[2]: *** [stamp-agtexi] Abort trap: 6 > make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 > make: *** [all] Error 2 > ### execution of /tmp/fink.3wWlh failed, exit code 2 > ### execution of /tmp/fink.2bCZa failed, exit code 2 > Removing runtime build-lock... > Removing build-lock package... > /opt/sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -r fink-buildlock-autogen-5.18.14-1 > (Reading database ... 130647 files and directories currently installed.) > Removing fink-buildlock-autogen-5.18.14-1 ... > Failed: phase compiling: autogen-5.18.14-1 failed > > Please let me know if I need to create a new message thread to address this. It seems that maybe the Gnuplot installation is failing because the emacs installations are failing? Your insights are appreciated. > > Thank you, > > Aric > Yeah, probably best to do separate threads for those. Make sure to use the actual package that failed (e.g. autogen instead of emacs25). For gnuplot, I’d recommend trying the -nox (or -app) versions of the emacs packages, as not all X11-using packages have been updated to deal with changes in the new XQuartz. —akh _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [email protected] List archive: https://sourceforge.net/p/fink/mailman/fink-users/ Subscription management: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-beginners
