I sent a separate post to the mailing list for the failure to build emacs26-app. I just tried again and it failed again. I did notice this time that a message of “Unsupported Xcode version 12.4” is made early in the install. That is the version that is installed on my MacBook Pro. So unsurprisingly, unsupported Xcode versions break the install. Don’t know if this additional info helps, but I provide it just in case. It seems that maybe the Gnuplot installation is failing because the emacs installations are failing? A second attempt to install produced the same output. The package "emacsen-common” is present in my fink installation. An attempt to install “emacsen” [virtual package] asks me to pick a version to install (I chose emacs26), but that installation also failed, albeit with a different message. I provide the last details regarding emacs as supporting information only- it was my limited attempt to address the “No emacs found” error that appears to have crashed the installation. > > According to https://github.com/fink/fink-distributions/issues/619#issuecomment-683466256 <https://github.com/fink/fink-distributions/issues/619#issuecomment-683466256> , emacs26-app satisfies gnuplot and it doesn't require the xinitrc package, so that should do what you need. > > Hanspeter _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [email protected] List archive: https://sourceforge.net/p/fink/mailman/fink-users/ Subscription management: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-beginners
