Hello. I’m getting repeated failures with updating or installing texlive-nox-base to version 20210325-6 on my MacBook Pro (mid-2014, 2.8GHz 15" intel Core i7) running OSX 10.14.6, fink 0.45.6, Xcode 11.3.1 (11C504) (as part of my attempt circumvent the failure with updating, at one point I removed the outdated version, so what I am now trying is installation). I am using fink commander to interact with fink. It seems there is a dialogue question that isn’t handled correctly (see below), with the result that the installer stalls at this point: The following package will be installed or updated: texlive-nox-base Reading buildlock packages... /sw/bin/dpkg-lockwait -i /sw/fink/dists/stable/main/binary-darwin-x86_64/text/texlive-nox-base_20210325-6_darwin-x86_64.deb (Reading database ... 366995 files and directories currently installed.) Nothing further happens unless I use the interact with fink option in fink commander to give an answer. So far I have only tried answering “n”, given the apparent implication in the dialogue that answering “y” may carry some risk. The first and last lines of output after giving a “n” response appear below: Missing map files found, disabling BaskervilleF.map (in /sw/share/texmf-dist/web2c/updmap.cfg) Montserrat.map (in /sw/share/texmf-dist/web2c/updmap.cfg) countriesofeurope.map (in /sw/share/texmf-dist/web2c/updmap.cfg) in /sw/etc/texmf-config/web2c/updmap.cfg Do you really want to continue (y/N)? answer =n= Please fix manually before running updmap(-sys) again! fmtutil [WARNING]: resetting $HOME value (was /Users/dn) to root's actual home (/var/root). fmtutil [WARNING]: hidden sys mode found, switching to sys mode. fmtutil: fmtutil is using the following fmtutil.cnf files (in precedence order): fmtutil: /sw/share/texmf-dist/web2c/fmtutil.cnf fmtutil: fmtutil is using the following fmtutil.cnf file for writing changes: fmtutil: /sw/etc/texmf-config/web2c/fmtutil.cnf fmtutil [INFO]: writing formats under /sw/var/lib/texmf/web2c fmtutil [INFO]: --- remaking pdftex with pdftex fmtutil: running `pdftex -ini -jobname=pdftex -progname=pdftex -translate-file=cp227.tcx *pdfetex.ini' ...
