" The suggestion to run 'fink selfupdate' seems kind of silly with a fresh install. Is there an EASY fix for this? Ventura 13.6.1You're trying to install Fink using an old source (0.45.6) that doesn't know about Ventura. Please follow the directions from the 2023-09-23 news item at https://www.finkproject.org/We're working on a new release source tar file, but those directions should work for you.Hanspeter-- I'm not a robot like you. Took some doing to get it installed. (Had to downgrade Xcode to 14.3.1 from 15.0.1) pathsdtup.sh.in does't seem to work. Disabled SIP so I can put stuff where it needs to be, but no help. FinkCommander shows "Packages: 0 Displayed, 0 Installed " have put "source /opt/sw/bin/init.sh" in .zlogin so fink works for me in the terminal. Would be nice if Fink Commander could see the install. It does see /opt/sw/ and /usr/bin/perl. but seems to be missing something major.
