Hi dan,

1) Currently Xcode=15.3 and CLT=15.3. What do you mean “fully up-to-date” ? Please let me know what you means "fully", say No. of Xcode.
I do not add/do anything /usr/local/include. Now /usr/local/ is no “include”, just bin/ and share/ where no “include”

2) By the way, please tell us whether gcc12 is normally working in your environment.

gcc12 is working in BigSur etc in my environments, not working macOS Sonama alone, which is my starting point.

I think fink tries hard to sanitize the shell environment during the compile process, but it's long been known that /usr/local can interfere in ways fink can't control. So...is your xcode (and its components) fully up-to-date? Do you have anything in /usr/local/include ?
