Re: updating fink to Sonoma 14.4.1 does not work. What can I do?

I have to confess I am a beginner of Fink (the detail of the processes except sited lines are just my memory). 
Now using Sonoma 14.4.1 (updating from BigSur directly to Sonoma from Apple site).  If you have complicated questions, you had better ask directly experts say, Hansperter Niederstrasser, who is also main coordinator of Fink.


In Fink official site https://www.finkproject.org/index.php?phpLang=en, find the following;

Run in Terminal.app (exactly the same commands line by line and read the results);

mkdir -p ~/src
cd src
git clone https://github.com/fink/fink fink-upstrream
cd fink-upstream

Then, if updating an existing Fink install, run ./inject.pl from the Terminal prompt. If doing a fresh install, run ./bootstrap.


Fink /opt/sw/… will be generated or you select (you may select any /opt/** site in your taste during the process. Anyway you have good look at the produced text=some action are requested to you, at you eyes; never leave desk or chair).  

Xcode, Command-Line-Tools(for me v.15.3) and requested others shall be installed beforehand and/or simultaneously from Apple-Developper-site or others if you’ve not installed yet.

Even if you've failed to do in the middle, you can repeat from the first line again and again to complete.  Finally a bunch of packaged will be installed. And then, fink selfupate-git and then a couple of package installed further.
