Hi folks,

how about asking our users on our mailing lists, and via the news section on your website, to vote for us to become SF.net POTM (Project of the month) ? I think we would be the first project to be PoTM *twice* if we won... So that would be another "yay"

Here is a text we could send and post in the news:

"Dear Fink users,

Fink has been nominated for becoming Project of the Month at SourceForge.net in July! Everybody with a twitter account can vote for us on <http://twtpoll.com/b0zo1b> -- so, please consider doing so to help ensure we win! As a nice bonus, Fink would be the first project to be Project of the month twice...

For more details on the July 2012 Project of the Month election, please take a look at <
http://sourceforge.net/blog/vote-july-2012-potm/>.

All the best,
the Fink team
"

> Hi, Rich Bowen here from SourceForge.
>
> I'm pleased to let you know that your project is on the ballot for the July Project of the Month. The ballot is at http://twtpoll.com/b0zo1b and there's a blog post at http://sourceforge.net/blog/vote-july-2012-potm/ that describes the candidate projects in more detail. Please promote these to your project communities, and get them to vote. This is another opportunity for you to further promote your project and get the word out there about what you're doing.
>
> If you're selected as the POTM, here's what you get:
>
> * Featured at the top of the front page for the whole month of July
> * A permanent place on http://sf.net/blog/potm
> * A permanent "badge" on your project page indicating that you've won this honor
> * A blog post and podcast on the SourceForge blog
>
> Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you promote your project at this time.
