However, it appears that Apple is kindly providing a compatibility symlink for that. (I'm not sure if they're still keeping the /usr/X11R6 compatibility symlink, though). That removes one big reason to use a separate tree, since we don't have to rewrite the package descriptions or come up with patches for most if not all of our X11-using packages.
