I'll be having a look this week, my new debconf stuff will require a newer dpkg-query anyhow. As a side note could we update our current dpkg so that it touches %p/var/lib/dpkg/statoverride it should be 644 to avoid "dpkg-statoverride: cannot open statoverride: No such file or directory" --- TS http://www.southofheaven.org/ Life begins and ends with chaos, live between the chaos!
