My thought is that gcc47 will fail the same way.

This failure occurs where dpkg is building a local copy of
gettext-tools.  Our current gettext-tools in Fink has BuildConflicts
against gcc45, gcc46, and gcc47 for what I believe is the same issue.

I've put a change to dpkg in CVS to have BuildConflcts: gcc45, gcc46,
gcc47 for PowerPC only, since i386 and x86_64 don't seem to have the
same problem.  It will be available via "fink selfupdate" soon.
