okay today the temp finally dipped bellow 30C so i was able to remove the window bar for a bit (G4 PB) and install 10.5/ppc with Xcode 3.1.4 on it. A few minor changes later and we have dpkg 1.1.6.4.3 bootstrap with new install-info setup all ready to go form my git fork, so it now works on 10.5/ppc and 10.7/x86_64 I think we are at the point where we can seriously discuss the switch and update of dpkg, install-info and bootstrap to these new versions. Once this phase is done I'll work on apt since 0.5.4 isn't really recommended for dpkg > 1.15, but it does work I have been using it none stop since I got it working. --- TS http://www.southofheaven.org/ Life begins and ends with chaos, live between the chaos! This, together with the lack of unstable, apparently is causing TheSin/Justing and Sjors some pain with dpkg -- it's a bit hard to come up with a good transition strategy to a new dpkg if there is no good way to get a select people to easily test the changed .info files... >>>>> >>>>> >>>>> Max >>>>> >>>> >>>> Yeah, true.
