Apparently we haven't been updating the INSTALL(.html) documents in the fink tarball, and it's been giving people instructions dating back to 2007. :-) We don't appear currently to use xml/install on sourceforge CVS for anything _but_ generating that document, and now it's decoupled from the Fink source.
