Adding… Yes, Fink's KDE4 buildenv has been adding -dead_strip_dylibs since the 4.4 days (or earlier). If anything in the KDE suite is requiring a dylib on the fly and not linking to it should be fixed to stop that. However, I see your later message that the plugin problem was due to a typo in the .info file. Glad it's working.
