I'm seeing this error in other packages as well (gnuplot, libcurl). Something happened in the last update? Many fink packages can't find the header files that are in the Xcode.app bundle. Has a default header file search path been left out somewhere? I did get an update to fink when I ran the last self-update and this is when the issues started coming up.
