I appears that both octave 3.6.4 and 3.8.2 will need configure
patched to prevent
the shared libraries being linked with
-Wl,-flat_namespace -Wl,-undefined -Wl,suppress
instead of
-Wl,-undefined -Wl,dynamic_lookup
when MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET is set to 10.10 as fink does by default.
The fixes should be of the form...
