      No problem with the new tree here on 10.11 using...

./bootstrap
fink install cvs
fink selfupdate-cvs
fink update-all

however we are creating the unremovable recursed conftest subdirectories in
the fink tar build.
Hardcoding the observed result of...

checking whether getcwd aborts when 4k < cwd_length < 16k... no
